It was lovely to receive an email from Keith Hinchcliffe who hosted Carolan last year (see Post 80). He got it touch to let us know about a new video he’s put together for an arrangement of Thelonious Monk’s ‘Around Midnight’ that he recorded on Carolan. It’s wonderful to hear our guitar in such fine voice and in such fine hands too. And a great video to boot. Another sweet example of Carolan’s jazz chops to complement previous contributions by Remi Harris (Post 31) and Lulo Reinhardt (Post 27). It’s that gypsy jazz heritage coming through again!
